Mobility impaired silver surfer, often seen around my home town with Lady, my companion greyhound.

I'm interested in history and was, for a short time, a professional archaeologist until disability got too bad (not to mention, a distinct lack of job opportunities).

I read a lot (scifi, fantasy, whodunnits, good historicals), and have recently been researching the Roman Navy, especially in my part of the world.  I'm planning to write up the results of my research soon.
